    The plate is free of chips, cracks, crazing and fleabites. There are light marks from rare use and storage, none distracting or visible without inspection. The foot has light shelf wear as expected.
    The pattern is identical to Hutschenreuther Racine (who purchased MZ Austria in 1909) and very similar to Haviland’s Ranson with subtle embossed scallops on the rim. The porcelain is slightly translucent, exceptionally light and sings when tapped.
    The all white makes it easy to blend into any
    elegant table setting.
    The plate is marked “Habsburg China M.Z. Austria” over a crown and shield marked “B T Co” in green. Habsburg China was a tradename for the Burley & Tyrrell Co of Chicago an importing and decorating company active from 1890 to 1919.
